If you are in Central Vermont Sunday July 3rd, then you HAVE to be at the Stars and Stripes Airshow at the Sugarbush/Warren Airport. Just getting into town? Follow the signs on route 100 just a few miles south of Waitsfield. They start letting cars in at 11 and the show runs from 1-3pm.
I’ve been star-struck by just the rehearsals. Can not WAIT to photograph the actual event! Photos will be posted on my Fan Page!
I live across the way from a sweet little airport in Central Vermont. Was first drawn to the location because this same airport is a beautiful cross country skiing center and hoped to pick up the sport (I have not.) Otherwise, the location gives its residents the most beautiful daily sky-scapes, images I should be posting everyday (working on that.)
This same airport host a popular air show! The Stars and Stripes Air show on July 3rd, part of the Jim Parker Air show series. I just found out that by living here, will get a free ticket because for safety reasons, I must vacate the premises in the event a stunt goes bad (lets hope that does not happen!)
At any rate, the point is, I get a free show nearly every night! I have tried to catch them with little success. They move about in rather unpredictable patters. Siting them, and focusing on them before the key trick is over – pretty tricky!
